Coachman’s Way

Coachman’s Way

Outdoor Living Space Project

The main goal of this project was to create an indoor-outdoor extension of the living area. The design features a large porch integrated with an existing gable roof and is built around a chimney, leading to a grilling deck accessible from the kitchen. The porch was constructed using number one kiln-dried decking and floor-to-ceiling screen panels for an open feel.

A patio featuring natural Pennsylvania bluestone connects the porch to the rest of the yard, complemented by a Tennessee fieldstone seat wall for additional seating and aesthetic appeal.

A solo stove fire pit was included, which could be stored away when not in use, providing flexibility for dining or lounging.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHT

The use of an open gable improved natural lighting, while a tongue and groove ceiling, recessed lights, and a fan provided the finishing touches, enhancing both the functionality and ambiance of the screen porch.
