The client envisioned a complete backyard transformation to better utilize their existing space and connect with the scenic forest preserve adjacent to their property.
Starting with a screen porch extension, the area was doubled in size and an Eze Breeze system was added for year-round weather protection. Ipe tongue and groove flooring and pine tongue and groove ceiling were used in the design.
The outdoor seating area is protected from the elements and allows the homeowners to entertain 12 to 15 guests. Both indoor and outdoor areas were enhanced with custom furniture crafted for storage.
The project encapsulates a sophisticated blend of natural materials and custom designs tailored to the client’s desires, allowing them to enjoy their outdoor space to its fullest potential.
The landscape was extended via the addition of a small garden walk and the integration of two park benches into the surrounding landscape for views of the forest.
